Harrison Arkansas Radio Veteran Passes Away
Jerry Lynn Bowman, age 61, went to be
with God on September 5, 2008. Jerry was born in
Springfield, Missouri, May 30, 1947, the son of Jerry P.
Bowman and the late Augusta Aileen (Yount) Bowman.
Jerry worked in radio for more than 37 years, spending the
last 20 years at KHOZ and KBCN in Harrison. Jerry woke many
of us up in the morning and sometimes drove with us home in
the afternoons as he played our favorite country songs. He
loved mingling with his listeners, doing remote broadcasts
and was always willing to lend a hand when a friend or
fellow worker was in need. Jerry was also involved as a
member of First Baptist Church of Harrison and the Harrison
Noon Lions Club. Anyone would tell you that Jerry was a very
unselfish person and always thought of others before
himself.
Jerry was a devoted family man, proud of
his sons Jerry Jr. and Matthew. He always called himself
blessed to be Brenda's husband.
In addition to his wife, Brenda and his sons, Jerry is
survived by his father, Jerry Parker Bowman, two
grandchildren and one sister, Linda Borgman and husband Ron
of California. He is also survived by many, many friends and
family who will miss him dearly.
**A Note from Brenda**
"Twenty two years ago, you touched my heart
you walked into my life and changed it forever
of all the choices I've made in my life
The one that has brought me the most happiness was Marrying
you"-Brenda
